Potassium Diet - A Low Potassium Diet for Kidney Disease

If you are someone that suffers from weakened or diseased kidneys, then you need to be very careful about the foods you eat. A good kidney Diet plan will help you to keep an eye on minerals like potassium and calcium that can easily start to build up in the body due to the kidneys being unable to rid the body of them in time. Getting too much potassium can lead to a problem called hyperkalemia, which involves having too high of a concentration of potassium in the blood. If you suffer from kidney problems, you will need to watch how much potassium you get each day to avoid this.Normally, it is recommended people get around 4700 mg potassium each day. For those that are suffering form a chronic kidney disease that amount should be no more than 2700 mg. To stay within these boundaries, a good kidney Diet plan should consist of things like three servings of vegetables and three servings of fruits that are low in potassium each day, such as lettuce, cucumbers, and apples. Dairy is a good option because it is low in potassium and the calcium it has is easy for the body to absorb. Try to get one or two servings of dairy each day. This can include things like cheddar cheese and a small amount of margarine.A good kidney Diet plan will usually contain between three and seven servings of meats that are low in potassium each day. Turkey breast is always a healthy choice, and you can have a hard boiled egg as well. When it comes to grains, between four and seven servings will be fine. Some good foods that fall into the grain category that are also low in potassium include white bread, English muffins, and non sweetened corn cereal.A good low potassium diet can still involve you enjoying all or most of your favourite vegetables. The only recommendation is that you LEACH the vegetables before consumption. The process of leaching will help pull potassium out of some high-potassium vegetables. However, you should bear in mind that leaching will not pull out all of the potassium from your vegetables.Once you get accustomed to a good Kidney Diet plan that is low in potassium you will see that it's not terribly challenging to follow. As long as you avoid the fruits like bananas and kiwis that are very high in potassium and make sure to drink enough fluids, you should be in good shape.

Choosing a Dual 12 Inch Subwoofer Box

I needed to find a dual 12 inch box for my subs fast. I had already purchased my subwoofers and now I had the chronic addiction of hearing my subwoofers pound inside of a box. There were so many different variables that I needed to look at and decide. I have made a small list to help anyone that is looking at buying a box for their subwoofers that will sound the best. The first variable you want to look into is, what type of sound do you desire to get our of your subwoofers. If your looking for the deepest sound inside the car that is crisp and quick as possible, you want a sealed box. Sealed boxes are just a box that is sealed and has no air gaps. These have been around for ages, and are very reputable to go with.If you want the bass to be heard from other people outside of your car and as far away as possible, than a vented box is more your style. Vented boxes are somewhat new technology and are said to be double the loudness in a lot of instances. Your subwoofer will have special specifications of what frequencies the port or vent should be tuned to.The box can make or break how loud your system is, so it's a huge deal. I have seen the cheapest car audio equipment sound ten times louder than a guy that spend thousands because the box was better designed. Look into what box best suits you and your subwoofer. You may regret it, if you don't make the correct choice from the get go.
